Banana Cream Matcha Latte

A dreamy iced matcha latte made with banana milk, banana cold foam, and topped with a sprinkle of banana dust. Earthy matcha combines beautifully with banana… it’s the perfect afternoon pick-me-up.

Ingredients
  

For the banana milk:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Sweetener of choice*
  • Pinch salt

For the banana cold foam:

  • 3 Tbsp heavy cream
  • 2 Tbsp banana milk
  • Sweetener of choice*

For the latte:

  • 1/3 cup brewed matcha tea
  • 1/2 cup banana milk
  • Banana cold foam.
  • 1/4 cup banana chips

Instructions
 

Make the banana dust:

  • Using a mortar and pestle, or a mini food processor, grind the banana chips until powdery.

Make the banana milk:

  • Combine the milk, banana, vanilla, sweetener and salt in a blender and blend until completely smooth.

Make the banana cold foam:

  • Combine the cream, banana milk and sweetener in a glass or jar and mix with a coffee frother until thickened.

Make the latte:

  • Fill a tall glass with ice.
  • Pour in the matcha, then the banana milk.
  • Top with the banana cold foam and a sprinkle of banana dust.

Notes

*I use a few drops of liquid stevia, but you can also use a teaspoon or two of maple syrup or agave or sugar.
