Triple Almond Apple Cake
Three layers of almond flavours and loads and loads of apples make up this delicious easy cake.

- 1 cup plus 2 Tbsp cake flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup soft butter
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 3 Tbsp Amaretto
- 3 1/2 cups apples peeled and cut into 1/2” pieces
- 1/2 cup marzipan cut into 1/4” pieces
- 2 Tbsp flaked almonds
- 1 Tbsp turbinado sugar
Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl and set aside.
Cream the butter and sugar together in a mixer until light and fluffy.
Add in the eggs and mix well.
Add in the vanilla, almond extract and Amaretto.
Mix until combined.
Add in the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Fold in the apples and the marzipan.
Pour the batter into a greased/lined 9” cake pan and sprinkle with the almonds and the sugar.
Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes.
