Apple Crescent Rolls (with Caramel)

Buttery crescent rolls stuffed with apples, brown sugar, warm spices and caramel. Super easy to make and irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans crescent rolls*
  • 2 tart apples**
  • 1/4 cup butter melted, divided
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • Pinch nutmeg
  • 8 soft caramel candies halved***
  • Coarse sugar for topping.

Instructions
 

  • Cut the apples into 1/2” slices. If your apples are really small you can use 2 slices per roll.
  • Toss the slices with 2 Tbsp of the butter.
  • Mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.
  • Separate the dough into triangles.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture evenly over each triangle.
  • Place an apple slice and a piece of caramel on the wide end of each triangle and roll up.
  • Place on parchment lined baking sheet, brush with remaining butter and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
  • Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes

**If your apples are small you may need more than 2.
***individually wrapped small, square caramel candies (like Kraft)
