Jalapeño Cheese Sauce

This creamy and delicious Jalapeño Cheese Sauce is loaded with melty cheese and spicy jalapeños and is the easiest recipe ever. In just 10 minutes you’ll have a homemade queso sauce that is a jillion times better than any store bought sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • Pinch cayenne
  • 1 jalapeño seeds removed, finely diced (about 2 Tbsp)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 slice American cheese

Instructions
 

  • Combine the half and half and cornstarch in a small saucepan over low-medium heat.
  • Add in the garlic powder, chili powder, smoked paprika, cayenne and the jalapeño. Mix well.
  • Stir frequently until the mixture comes to a simmer. Allow to simmer for a few minutes until thickened.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the cheeses. Mix until completely combined and smooth.
