Crispy fries meet all the best taco flavors in this insanely delicious mashup! Piled high with seasoned beef, melty cheese sauce, fresh salsa, and a drizzle of sour cream, these Loaded French Fries are comfort food heaven.

Ingredients
  

For the fries:

  • 750 grams/26 oz frozen french fries
  • 1/2 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese grated

For the taco beef:

Jalapeño cheese sauce

For the Pico de Gallo:

  • 3 roma tomatoes diced
  • 1/2 cup sweet onion diced
  • 1 fresh jalapeño diced (seeded or not)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice

For topping:

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions
 

Make the fries:

  • Sprinkle the fries with seasoning salt. Bake until crisp.

While the fries cook, prepare the beef:

  • Heat a skillet and add in a drizzle of oil. Add in the beef and when almost cooked, stir in the taco seasoning (store bought or mine) and cook according to directions. Set aside.

Make the jalapeño cheese sauce, if making:

  • Set aside. (Skip this step if using store bought queso)

Make the Pico de Gallo:

  • Combine the tomatoes, onion, jalapeño, lime juice and a good pinch of salt in a bowl. Mix well and set aside.

Load the fries:

  • When the fries are ready, top with the beef, cheese sauce and cheese.
  • Bake at 425 for 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
  • Remove and drizzle with the sour cream. Sprinkle with Pico de Gallo.
