Crispy, juicy chicken wings served in a rich, sweet, sticky garlic butter soy sauce. Cook in the oven or the air fryer. Easy to make and irresistibly delicious.
To cook in the Air Fryer:
While the wings cook, make the sauce**:
Mix together the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, water and cornstarch. Whisk until smooth. Set aside.
In a small pot melt the butter over medium heat and when it’s hot add in the garlic. Allow to cook for 1 minute then add in the soy sauce mixture.
Bring to a simmer and allow to cook for a few minutes, whisking often, until slightly thickened. Remove from the heat.
When the wings are cooked:
**This makes a good amount of sauce, so if you have some leftover serve it with the wings and rice.
