Notes
my pro tips for making the best banana cream matcha latte
Bananas – you want these babies ripe for this recipe. Riper bananas are softer, sweeter and will blend into the milk better.
Sweeteners – the banana milk is already lightly sweet but I usually add some liquid steviz to make it sweeter. Maple syrup, agave and honey all work well too and add subtle dimensions of flavour.
Vanilla – don’t skip the vanilla as it adds so much richness to the milk and rounds out the banana flavour perfectly.

recipe substitutions and variations
Use store bought banana milk to save time, but it’s not the same. I find the store bought version tastes simulated.
Smoothie Version – add the matcha and the banana milk to a blender and blend together with a scoop of protein powder or greek yogurt to make this a more filling breakfast or snack.
Hot Banana Matcha Latte Version – gently warm the banana milk and pour it over hot matcha for a cozy hot latte version.

serving suggestions
I love to drink this Banana Cream Matcha Latte for breakfast alongside my Cheesy Veggie Egg Bites for the full café experience in the comfort of my own home and my own pajamas (sooooo much cheaper too).
It’s also a fun follow up to a light lunch like this easy Sheet Pan Butternut Squash Soup with Brown Butter and Crispy Sage or Kale and Chickpea Salad with Crispy Crumbs
Or make it a fun and kid-friendly afternoon snack with some freshly baked Double Chocolate Zucchini Blender Muffins or Chocolate Chip Buttermilk Muffins

storing leftovers and make ahead details…
Storing – you can keep the banana milk in the fridge for about 2 days. Shake well before using.
Cold Foam – the cold foam is best on the day it’s made.
Banana Dust – made out of dried banana chips, the banana dust keeps for a LONG time in an air tight container.

questions about this banana cream matcha latte
Can you make it dairy free? absolutely! Just swap out the dairy milk and cream for your favourite non-dairy versions. I love to use coconut milk and coconut cream.
Can you make a decaf version? yes. Just brew a strong decaffeinated green tea in place of the matcha.
