Need a new whipped ricotta toast idea? THIS IS IT! It’s my new favourite breakfast and I hope it will be yours too. We’ve been eating it on the daily around here if that tells you how good it is.
I always buy maple butter for my Dad when I see it because when we were kids he loved it. We all loved it.
We ate it one way – smeared thickly on warm buttered toast. So good.
I fancied it up a bit for this breakfast but it does not disappoint and the rich, buttery sweetness of the maple butter still shines through perfectly. Add in the creaminess of ricotta and sweet juicy strawberries and you have the toast of dreams. My dreams anyway…
You can make your own maple butter but that involves a candy thermometer – and I’m not doing that – so please reach out to your friendly Google for a recipe (here’s one to start with). I can now buy maple butter at my local store… so yay!!
