This Bubble Tea Pudding with Brown Sugar, Chia and Salted Foam is the healthier answer to your bubble tea craving. A creamy Milk Tea Pudding that uses Chia seeds to give you a boba-ish feel and salted foam to… well, to just take it right over the top.
I know you’re going to love this… Who doesn’t like bubble tea???
You’ve no doubt heard of the Boba shortage that is threatening our supply of expensive creamy sugar laden drinks poured over big piles of carb balls. Devastating news. (read about it here)
Well friends, I have created an alternative for us. My homemade Bubble Tea Chia Pudding. It’s healthier. It’s cheaper. And it is GOOD. You can throw it together in minutes and it keeps well in the fridge so you can even make a big batch and eat it all week long.
My daughter actually makes an amazing homemade bubble tea and the creamy delicious salted foam you see here? Her creation. So delicious.
This dish is thick like pudding, but you can easily water it down with more milk to make it into a drink… I’m going to do that next as soon as I get my hands on some giant straws and one of those machines that seals on the lid… anyone know where I get one of those??? For now, try this!
Anything special you need to know?
*This milk tea pudding can easily be made vegan… just use non-dairy milk and sub in coconut cream for the heavy cream when making the salted foam.
*I like the black chia seeds because of the way they stand out in the glass, but you can use white instead if that’s what you have.
